Unto Baroness Mistress Katherine Barr does Thorkatla Ulfsdottir send greetings,
on behalf of Brid ni Shearlais, Accessibility Porter for the Kingdom of the
East.
The staff of the Accessibility Porter’s office met recently to discuss the
activities of the Office. The staff consists of Brid, myself as Paperwork
Deputy, and Jadwiga Zajaczkowa as web minister. We have begun writing a set of
policies, which we expect to have ready for your approval in January. We also
hope to, at that time, have a slate of regional deputies lined up. We expect to
have a new website ready early next week. We consider our first duties to be
establishing policies and publicizing the Office to seneschals and the Kingdom
at large.
At this point, we are proposing reporting to you semiannually, on September 30
and March 30. If the business of the Office warrants, we would increase to
quarterly reports, adding in reporting dates of January 15 (to avoid issues
with holidays) and July 15 (to avoid a pre-Pennsic rush). Please consider this
our first official report.
I have summarized below our schedule for the next several months, as it exists
now. We expect it will be expanded as we acquire deputies and publicize the
Office.
If you have questions or concerns about any of this, or anything we have failed
to mention, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Yours in Service,
Thorkatla Ulfsdottir (MKA Kate Dixon)
Paperwork Deputy to the Accessibility Porter
